With a choice of some 4 delightful golf courses, it's also golfer's paradise.

Four great golf courses are at your disposal in- and around Bandung, of which Giri Gahana is the most impressive due to the fact that it is located in a dramatically impressive landscape. The oldest course in Bandung is Dago Endah and dates back to 1917, when it was opened as a 9 hole layout. Only in 1994, the second nine was inaugurated. Due to its high location beyond the city, it offers golfers incredible views of Bandung. Dago is also the highest course in Indonesia. Bandung Indah Golf & Country Club and Arcamanik conclude your golfing holiday in Bandung.

Bandung impression

Bandung is often refered to as "the most European city in Indonesia". In older days it was called "the Paris of Java". It is located nearly 1000 meters above sea level and some 180 km south east from Jakarta. With more than 140 days of rain annually, and an average temperature of 22 degrees, the Bandung inhabitants call it the most liveable place on the isle of Java. The city is dotted with numerous historical sites and art-deco landmark buildings like for instance the incredibly beautiful Savoy-Homann Hotel, built in the roaring twenties and recently restored in its old glory.

In and around Bandung there are some fine tourist attractions like the Ciater Hot Springs, where you can swim in warm sulphurized pools, which are supposedly good for the healing of rheumatism and skin disorders. The Tangkuban Perahu crater, which translates into "hulk of overturned boat", is the only crater in Java accessible all the way by car as far as its rim. Standing on the rim and not too far from the smouldering crater, you have a breathtaking view. Bandung is also home to the only Angklung (a Sundanese bamboo musical instrument) school in Indonesia. A visit to this school, including a performance, is a must.
