Bali Golf7D6N / 4 Golf + 1 ExcursionDay 1Arrival in Bali and transfer to hotel Day 2, Golf at Nirwana Bali Golf ClubAbout the course: Nirwana Bali Golf Club needs no further introduction. ![]() Nirwana Bali For more than one decade, this Greg Norman designed championship golf course has been recognized internationally as one of the world's finest layouts. Four sets of tees to provide every golfer with an ideal combination of challenge and enjoyment. The distinctive Greg Norman bunkering protects many of the greens and this is especially noticeable on many of the wonderful par four holes. Offering the warmest service you will find anywhere, Nirwana Bali Golf Club is Asia's friendliest golf destination. The impressive Balinese style Clubhouse is home to a well-stocked pro shop, luxurious locker rooms and terrace dining. Day 3, Golf at Bali Golf and Country ClubAbout the course: One of the local rules written on the score card reads; Play is prohibited from Temple Grounds (hole 8 and 12), free drop nearest point of relief. Reading this text, all of a sudden you realize that you're actually playing golf on the "Island of The Gods". ![]() Hole 11 at Bali Golf and Country Club With views on the Indian Ocean and the majestic Gunung (Mount) Agung in the distant horizon, BG&CC offers a friendly but yet demanding layout that is spread out over three totally different locations. The front 9 plays in a green and tree-rich hilly environment. Holes 10 to16 are situated in a palm tree-rich environment, while the final 2 holes are sea-side holes and play around the clubhouse. The course was designed by Hawaii's illustrious duo Rodney Wright and Robin Nelson who surely succeeded in creating a course that is on par with some of the best courses in their native country. It's designed for players of all levels of skill and it's known for its beauty, its beach-like bunkers (especially on holes 10 to 16) and prevailing winds from the Indian Ocean on the links-type finishing holes 17 and 18. BG&CC is located in the Nusa Dua area and close to some international star rated hotels and the Galleria Shopping Center. Day 4, Day tour to UbudUbud could be just the perfect start of your Bali culture experience as it is the very center of "artistic" life in Bali. During the 40-ties and the 50-ties, world famous artists like Isaac Israëls, Willem Hofker, Rudolf Bonnet, Walter Spies and Spain's Manila-born Antonio Blanco, lost their hearts to Bali, and specifically to Ubud where they once all resided. Right here, all these artists claimed to have reached their creative summit. Ubud, today, is still the center of Balinese art. "Works of art" from famous Balinese artisans are permanently exhibited at Puri Lukisan. As many famous artists and woodcarvers have turned their homes into galleries, literally hundreds of home studios are open to the public. Bali's woodcarvers are renowned the world over. Stop at one of the many home studios in and around Ubud where art can be purchased on the spot. A little outside of Ubud, we find the tiny village of Tegalalang where you can view one of the most pristine valleys that is testament to Bali's rich heritage in rice growing culture. It truly is a "picture perfect" site.
Day 5, Golf at Bali Handara Golf & Country ClubAbout the course: Bali Handara is known the world over and often this course is ranked within the top 100 courses of the world hence its magnetic attraction to golfers from all four corners of the world. ![]() Hole 18 at Bali Handara Golf & Country Club Playing golf in a 300 year extinct volcanic crater at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level and in temperatures ranging from 16 to 20°r;C is pretty unique. The one hour car ride from Bali's capital Denpasar to Bali Handara is a real eye opener and a brilliant sightseeing trip in itself as it will take you right through the very heart of Bali's central highland passing tiny villages and settlements as well as offering you vistas typical of rural Bali in the process. Arriving at the impressive traditional Balinese gate of Bali Handara, it will make you feel as if mystical powers are ever present on the Island of the Gods. Ever since it was inaugurated in the book of "The 50 Best Golf Courses in the World", in June 1987, Bali Handara has captured the imagination and hearts of golfers the world over. Created by Thomson, Wolveridge & Fream, this uniquely located layout is an absolute must to play. The Central Bali mountain range of Bedugul is not only home to the famous and world renowned course of Bali Handara Golf & Country Club, but also it is home to Lake Buyan, Lake Tambingan and more to the east Lake Batur, three of the most beautiful lakes in the Indonesian archipelago. Day 6, Golf at New Kuta Golf ClubAbout the course: Located on the most south-western tip of Bali in the Pecatu region, New Kuta Golf opened in 2007. ![]() Hole 15 at New Kuta Golf Home of the Indonesia Open 2009, the course is a linksstyle layout that gave the pros plenty to talk about and especially on days when the prevailing Indian Ocean wind was up. The majority of the pros praised the Indonesia Open set-up for its challenge while winner Tongchai Jaidee looked forward to coming back rather sooner than later. USA course designer Ron Fream created a resort course with plenty of tee box options so it can be played by highas
well as low handicappers. The back nine plays toward the Indian Ocean and when the wind comes in from this body of water, then the stretch of holes #12 to #15 can become more than you have bargained for. The par 3 hole #15 is awesomely placed atop a hanging cliff and make sure you watch the view before leaving this classic sea-side hole. The finishing hole is a par 5 that ends a truly memorable golfing experience at one of Asia's most memorable courses. Day 7Check out and transfer to the airport and end of service.
