Course Description

Woodlands Course

Of the two Bintan Lagoon courses, the Ian Baker-Finch course is by far the most challenging.
Carefully carved out of a genuine rainforest, the course surely becomes more interesting the further you get away from the clubhouse and the more you go into the forest.
As a course designer, Ian Baker-Finch is one of the best in the trade. With the par 5 hole #8 or the par 4 hole #9 he created some terrific holes.
The par 3 holes #5, #7, #14 and #17 are terrific too, and are creatively designed; they certainly are no walk over. The par 5 holes #4, #8, #13 and #16 can be genuine score wreckers.
If you love to play challenging courses, than the Ian Baker-Finch course is definitely one you should go and play. It certainly belongs in our top 25 in Indonesia.

Sea View Course

At the Bintan Lagoon Jack Nicklaus Sea View course strategy and placing of shots is the secret to scoring well.
Ten out of the eighteen holes feature water. On the front nine, the opening hole demands a tee shot that has to be hit over water, while water also comes in to play from the tee box on the par 4 hole #6.
In the dry season, and especially on the water-rich holes, long tee shots may run wet. Particularly holes #14, #15, #16, #17 and #18 offer an abundance of this blue colored substance. The par 5 hole #16 and the par 4 hole #17 are created around a huge lake and certainly on these two holes it's safe to stay away from the very edge of the sloping fairway. Play it safe and don't try to be a hero.
